Der schwarze See
Blurb
Sheila Yonkers wakes up in her bare feet. She's been sleepwalking again! She's standing in the muck beside the lake not far from her Wyoming house one Thursday night in October. A voice inside her mind keeps on insisting that she come here to find something. But she doesn't know what it is. While she is standing there gazing off at the three mountains across the lake that give the town its name — Three Mountains — something ten feet tall looms out of the shadows. It nearly runs her over and scares her to death. It turns out to be a bull moose.
Sheila starts back to her house. But she sees two masked goons, one taller, one shorter, dragging something in a burlap sack, which they have great difficulty throwing into the lake. Sheila hides in the reeds and watches them. Once they leave, she creeps up to the lake and sees — a girl's body!
